Hi, my name's Emily. I'm glad you found this website. Here is a little about myself and the heart behind this business.
I'm a wife and stay-at-home mom of 3. As many of you know, this 24/7 job is wild. It shows us the most beautiful and tender moments life has to offer, but it also reveals the worst of what's in our hearts. So much of this season is spent alone with just us and the kids, inside our own four walls, without a lot of outside support or even time with friends and family. And when we do come up for air, it's easy to compare our home, our patience, our marriage to whatever polished version we're seeing on social media or in the people around us. The isolation, those comparisons, and just the struggles of daily life can quickly lead to attitudes and thought patterns that we are stuck in but don't truly reflect who we actually want to be.
This was, and still is, a real struggle for me. God has used motherhood to slowly show me how prideful I am and how perfect I cannot be. I see how selfish I can be too, and how quickly my wrong attitudes can turn our home cold, in a way that affects everyone in it.
More and more, I've become convinced that a wife and mother carries a unique role: to set a peaceful, joyful tone in the house. In so many ways, we are the glue that holds it together. That conviction led me to start asking myself a hard question: Is this the kind of environment my kids and husband want to come home to? A place where they can actually relax and be resourced?
God used that question, and other difficult circumstances in our family life, to draw my heart into submission and obedience to truths I already knew but hadn't always sought to apply. Little by little, in small prayers and small acts of faith, I saw, and continue to see, God transform my heart, and my home along with it.
My desire in creating this business is to share art and insight that encourages you to love and obey Christ in the middle of ordinary, tiring, beautiful days. My hope is that you too would Become a place your family wants to Come Home to.
Become Home, dear sisters, and let Christ's love overflow from your heart to your home.
